Caring For Your Rock Flowers

  • Rock flowers eat meat. Yes they are carnivores. Chopped up meaty seafood will help they grow and be healthy.
  • Iodine and trace elements will help them thrive.
  • Use LED lighting for the best color visualization.
  • They need moderate to high lighting.
  • Ensure that your tank has good filtration and water flow.
  • They are very sensitive to any change in their environment.
  • Please don't drop them right next to the aquarium heater.

    Nice small anemone

Posted by John Pittenger on 24th Oct 2016

I ordered a couple of these hoping Jason would send me more than just one color. He did not disappoint me. I love these little guys. They will wonder around for awhile until they find a place they like. Anemones can be tricky sometimes. They will sometimes put out this slimy stuff if stressed to much and it can be toxic to your other stock when they are a big size. That's why these are so great. They are small and even if they did a slim job, it wouldn't be enough to hurt your other inverts or fish, unless you had a nano tank maybe. Well worth the money.

    Excellent Anemones, Excellent Value

Posted by George on 5th Mar 2015

I ordered three common rock anemones - all are predominantly flake white - one with a subtle ring around the inside edge of the tentacles that glows yellow under actinics, one has darker green tentacles mixed with white tentacles, and one is completely white with varying shades of white tentacles. All three arrived healthy and immediately settled into the tank after acclimation, staying where I placed them. One thing to note, these anemones are MASSIVE - the feet are 1.5 - 2 inches across and the discs are a minimum of 3 inches across at night and at more than 5 inches across under daylight. They may not be as colorful as my other rock anemones (and the green one I purchased at the same time), but they look great where my sandbed needs my rock work. Even with overnight shipping you can't beat the price.
