Pacific Yellow Tang
Pacific Yellow Tang
The Pacific Yellow Tang could be considered the definitive fish of saltwater aquariums. The Pacific Yellow Tang is a constant swimmer that will glide throughout your aquarium acting as a local aquarium tour guide. The Pacific Yellow Tang is also known as the Yellow Sailfin Tang or Yellow Surgeonfish. It is best to be in an aquarium of at least 30 gallons or larger with plenty of room to swim. Like other Tangs, it demonstrates territorial aggression towards its own species. It would be best to keep just one Pacific Yellow Tang per aquarium, unless they are introduced into the system simultaneously. Although the Pacific Yellow Tang will eat meaty foods along with the other fish in the aquarium, it is important the Pacific Yellow Tang be offered plenty of marine based seaweed and algae. The Pacific Yellow Tang is an extremely popular, and hardy addition to any aquarium system.
