Red Coris Wrasse

The Red Coris Wrasse needs a 100 gallon or larger aquarium with a sandy bottom into which it can burrow if it is threatened or to sleep. It is not reccommended to attempt to keep the Red Coris Wrasse on crushed coral because they have a poor success on those types of substrates. When very small, Red Coris Wrasse are safe with almost any fish that will not eat them, but as they get larger they become more aggressive. They are not safe for invertebrates. The Red Coris Wrasse diet should include frozen mysis shrimp, frozen brine shrimp, and also mix in some high quality marine flake and marine pellet food.
