Queen Angelfish (Small 2-3 inches)

The Queen Angelfish requires at least a 50 gallon aquarium with lots of hiding places and live rock for grazing. This fish is prone to nip at stony and soft corals and clam mantles. If the Queen Angelfish is to be added to a peaceful community, it should be the last fish introduced.  They get along with most other fish but not with other angels. They are hermaphroditic, this leads to being very difficult to breed in an aquarium. The diet should consist of marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, mysis or frozen shrimp, and other high-quality meaty items.

    queen update

Posted by Bob Z on 17th Mar 2015

This is an update on my queen angelfish. She has been doing great, she eats like a champ, and is always swimming in the front of the tank looking to eat. When I go to put algae sheets on the clip, she starts eating it out of my hand before I can clip it on. Amazing fish. One of the best values you can find, either from your LFS or online. It isn't always about the price, it's more about the quality of the livestock. Foxy Saltwater delivers on both. Thanks again.

    Queen Angel

Posted by Bob Z on 13th Feb 2015

My new arrival came 2 days ago, she is a beauty, swimming about after 5 minutes. My big sailfin tang gives her a quick chase , but not a big deal. Still adjusting to her new home, not eating real good yet but is picking at the live rock, and some dry algae. Overall a very nice fish, and you can't beat the price. You would pay at least double if not more at your LFS. Foxy Saltwater offers nice fish at great prices, if you haven't ordered from them give them a try. I am sure you will be satisfied.

    Gorgeous queen

As usual I am very impressed with my buy from this website, Jason is so knowledgeable and always sends the biggest available fish when you buy. I know for a fact that the local fish store would have charged me 3x the price, I recommend this to all my friends who are marine enthusiast.

    Queen Angel

I received my queen angel 2 days ago and she is doing very well. The quality and coloring
are excellent. At first she was hiding and picked at the rocks and back glass, now she is out and eating well. The price was great, at my local fish store the same fish would of gone for at least $50 more. Very satisfied.

    Beautiful Queen Angel

I just received my Angelfish a day ago, very nice coloring, bigger than I expected. Price was great, I would of paid at least $50 more in my local fish store. Still acclimating to the tank, she hides and once in awhile I see her picking at algae on the rocks and back glass. Very satisfied so far. I would recommend giving this company a try.

Beautiful fish! Excellent packaging and shipping! Acclimated in about an hour and fish started eating off live rock almost immediately! Best price and service anywhere...especially for a queen angelfish!
