The Red Lip Blenny needs a tank of at least 30 gallons with plenty of sandy subsrtate and scattered rocks for hiding. The Red Lip Blenny is usually a peaceful tank member, as long as they are in a tank with plenty of space. The Red Lip Blenny is considered one of the most passive of the blennies, which makes for a great starter fish for a new aquarium. They are also considered not reef safe for they will eat fleshy corals. They should be fed frozen or live brine shrimp and other frozen foods.
