Surgeon Tang (Small 3/4" - 2.5 inch)

The Surgeon Tang (Acanthurus bahianusis a constant swimmer that will glide throughout your aquarium acting as a local aquarium tour guide. The Surgeon Tang is best to be in an aquarium of at least 30 gallons or larger with plenty of room to swim. Like other Tangs, it demonstrates territorial aggression towards its own species. It would be best to keep just one Surgeon Tang per aquarium, unless they are introduced into the system simultaneously. Although the Surgeon Tang will eat meaty foods along with the other fish in the aquarium, it is important to offer plenty of marine based seaweed and algae. The Surgeon Tang is an extremely popular, and hardy addition to any aquarium system.

I has very impressed with how healthy looking this arrived. No nicks or blemishes on fins or coloring. It was very happy and healthy specimen and began eating within only a few hours after acclimating it.

Ordered two small tangs at the same time. They both differed in size which I liked. They arrived healthy and very active. Took off eating the same day.

This fish came out the bag ready to eat and is buddies with the Caribbean tangs. It appears to be healthy thus far and is doing what it should be.
