Rock Flower Anemone

Rock flower anemone are members of the Phymathidae family and are also referred to as sea anemone. Rock flowers are native to the Caribbean and come in many colors with the oral disc usually a different color then the rest of the anemone; the oral disc lacks tentacles. Ultra Rock Flower Anemone

What are Ultra Rock Flower Anemone? Rock flowers come in non-fluorescing and fluorescing specimens. The fluorescing variety are called Ultra Rock Flower Anemone. We sell a nice variety of fluorescing anemone because their colors are just awesome. They make a stunning addition to any tank due to their bright colors. We sell single flowers plus variety packages to help you get started on your collection.

Once added to a tank they will attach to rocks or the sand substrate. They bury most of their bodies leaving only their oral disk and tentacles exposed. They are also pretty stationary and don't move around much. They can grow to a maximum size of 8 inches. Surprisingly these rock flowers are carnivores.

Captive Sea Anemone Care

Rock flower anemone care is easy and they are perfect for beginner aquarium enthusiasts. Sea Anemone do well with a variety of lighting. However for the most vibrant display of their colors, try blue spectrum lighting or LED's; it really brings out their colors and makes them pop. Medium water flow is perfect as well.

Feeding: Because they are carnivores, rock flower anemones' diet consists of meaty foods. Good ideas for food are chopped fish, mussels and or other quality frozen foods. They will also benefit from trace elements and iodine added to their reef tank.
