The Caribbean Green Moray (Gymnothorax funebris) is a bold and impressive addition to large saltwater aquariums. Known for its long, muscular body and deep green coloration, this species brings a true Caribbean reef predator vibe and commanding presence to your tank.
Native to Caribbean reefs, rocky crevices, and sandy bottoms, Green Morays appreciate plenty of hiding spots, caves, and rockwork where they can feel secure. They are generally reclusive and should be housed with larger, non-aggressive tank mates, as they may eat smaller fish or invertebrates.
This species is hardy and adapts well to captivity, readily accepting a carnivorous diet of meaty frozen foods such as shrimp, fish, and chopped seafood. Its striking size, secretive behavior, and reef-dwelling habits make it a fascinating choice for experienced hobbyists with established fish-only or FOWLR aquariums.
