Invasive Lionfish (Pterois volitans)
A show-stopping addition to large saltwater tanks, the Lionfish features bold red-and-white stripes and long, flowing fins that bring dramatic movement and color. Native to the Indo-Pacific but now invasive in the Caribbean, these predatory fish enjoy plenty of rockwork for perching. They thrive on meaty frozen foods like shrimp, silversides, and small fish. Best for experienced hobbyists, Lionfish require a large tank and caution with tank mates, as they will eat smaller fish and invertebrates.
