The Caribbean Sharpnose Pufferfish (Canthigaster rostrata) is a small but vibrant addition to saltwater aquariums. Known for its compact, torpedo-shaped body, distinctive pointed snout, and bold pattern of white, brown, and bright blue accents, this species brings color and personality to the reef.

Native to Caribbean reefs and rocky coastal habitats, Sharpnose Puffers appreciate plenty of rockwork and hiding spots where they can explore and feel secure. They are generally peaceful but may nip at very small invertebrates or slow-moving tank mates if not properly fed.

This species is hardy and adapts well to captivity, readily accepting a carnivorous diet of meaty frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, chopped seafood, and high-quality prepared foods. Its small size, playful behavior, and striking coloration make it a great choice for hobbyists with reef or fish-only aquariums.
