The Caribbean Show Porcupine Pufferfish (Diodon hystrix) is a striking and dramatic addition to large saltwater aquariums. Known for its elongated, spiny body, ability to inflate when threatened, and bold presence, this species adds both excitement and a true Caribbean reef feel to your tank.
Native to Caribbean reefs, lagoons, and sandy areas, Porcupine Puffers appreciate plenty of open swimming space along with rockwork and crevices for shelter. They are generally peaceful but should be housed with larger, non-aggressive tank mates, as smaller fish or invertebrates may be seen as food.
This species is hardy and adapts well to captivity, readily accepting a carnivorous diet of meaty frozen foods such as shrimp, squid, clams, and chopped seafood, along with high-quality prepared foods. Its dramatic appearance, interactive behavior, and unique defense mechanism make it a captivating choice for experienced hobbyists with established fish-only or FOWLR aquariums.

Shipping can be stressful and if tossed around they can puff up and puncture bags. I have shipped many without problems but if one occurs and the fish is struggling or DOA this is a reminder I will issue a credit for the fish but not the shipping.
