Spotted Cleaner Shrimp
Spotted Cleaner Shrimp
The Spotted Anemone Shrimp will be successful in a tank with anemones or sea cucumbers that can serve as a host. The shrimp will generally stay close to its host anemone or sea cucumber. Although if it does not see any larger fish nearby, it will sometimes venture out and forage for food. Mostly it shares its food with the host anemone. They have a cool mutualistic symbiotic relationship with, most of the time, an anemone. They are protected from the sting by a mucus layer secreted by the anemone. However every time the shrimp molts it has to reacclimate itself back to the anemone.
